Could It Be Any Windier?!

I woke up at six to work on this. I had been pondering what to do & it hit me!
Remember it before?
Now look...
 Beautiful, yeah? =)
I'm excited to find it a new home...

 & I'm loving this!
 It's so much better now.

<(")  Can you see it? It's a penguin! My awesome brothers showed me...love it!

Yay!!!

...I will be in Owyhee on Friday to sell at Marlyn's yard sale. H.D.C. back room 9:00-2:00.
Yea yea! =)

Yesterday, I went searching for tiny blocks (you know, the children's blocks with alphabet letters on 'em?) I was in the fourth thrift store of the day when I finally spotted a box full...score!!! I used some for the Believe blocks in the last post & I finished these Hope blocks a little later. I really like how they turned out & I hope someone else will too =)
This is my first altered mirror.
I have to say, it's pretty Fab!

I'm still diggin' treasures outta Sadee that I bought on Saturday...sheesh! Somewhere along the way Marlyn & I stopped at Tai Pan Trading & I found this burlap runner. If you're ever in Boise be sure to stop, it's filled with yummy home decor goodies!!

While we were at the flea the guys were at the auction & they found this jewelry box for me.
I have it sitting in the middle of my living room waiting for inspiration to hit...it'll come.

Cranberry Limeade

The week is over...it was a good one. Yesterday, Marlyn and I went to the Flea Market here in Boise. I was too excited to take before pictures, but here's what I found...
I added the glass knob. This is so cute, how could you resist it?

& this little bench. It's perfect for a display piece.
Of course both pieces were brown...iicckk! But with a little paint, they're perfect!

& these are just some stuffs I did this week...not a whole lot got done around here, I was enjoying my time with Daxton.
I'm working on a couple more things but they're not quite ready yet. I may have a sale this coming week in Owyhee, I'll know for sure a bit later. I'm off to enjoy my cranberry limeade, have a good evening.

Home

Daxton and I made a quick trip back home today. We're both from the Duck Valley Indian Reservation of Idaho & Nevada. Growing up I never appreciated the charm of living in the middle-of-nowhere until I left for Europe for a couple months. I then realized that the small reservation I called home was an untouched wonder of this busy, busy world. Growing up here made me strong & for that I am forever grateful. Of course I went off to college in Spokane and I live in Boise now, but Owyhee will always be home.

I decided to stop in at the local cafe, A Taste of Heaven Kountry Kitchen, and ask Amy if she would be willing to house my cards. She totally agreed!!! & she bought two of them. It made my day. =) We'll see how well it goes and who knows maybe I'll be busy making cards soon.

Always pray...

Oh Happy Day!

It was freezing today, but it looked like the perfect day out, you know it? Anyway, I got the BEST news today...Daxton is coming tomorrow and staying for the week!!!! YAY!!! I am beyond excited.

I dragged Ooitz to the Antique Mall yesterday & found this!!
Of course it had to be on the highest shelf possible. Thank goodness for little, tall brothers =)

After getting the gift of an early day from my boss I went thrifting.
I like the pattern of this box, but it's gonna get covered.

This is also gettin' a makeover & it will be for something other than glitter glue...

& my last find of the day...
How awesome is this? I love it & cannot wait to spruce it up!! The heart definitely has to go & I'm not crazy about the color. It's gonna have a whole new life soon.

I had a great day, hopefully you did too!!!

Whew!!! (Yes, I know it's spelled 'Phew')

It was been one crazy weekend! & I loved it!! Friday my mom's family was down to watch Kodie cheer at the state cheerleading competition in Nampa. We met up with them and had a great time. My aunt & uncle actually ended up staying with me Friday night, and aunt Mel & Sam helped me set up for the craft fair. =) Ooitz is in town for Bam Jam, so he stayed with me last night. He brings so much happiness to my life. His team lost by three & was put out earlier. Speaking of losing, Gonzaga is out!! They lost to Ohio State...sadness.

Now for the fun part...
Of course it had to be pouring while we were packing everything in, not fun. The venue was great and I was very pleased with my space.

It started off kinda slow, but eventually the rain quit and people started to come around. Honestly, I was gonna be happy if I sold only one thing =) ... well I sold much more than that!!! I had a great time, and it was fun to browse the other vendors. I was between a delicious chocolate stand and a gorgeous jewelry booth. Everyone was so nice!! I ended up purchasing a charm from Michele Dewlen, look at her great stuff here. I am beyond happy with yesterday's sales & I'm on the hunt for the next show! Thanks to everyone who stopped by and found something special!

Sleepy!

Sparkles!!!
Remember these little dandies? I like 'em much better now!!

I worked on these frames tonight. Something about a bunch of empty frames makes me happy. =)

I have a vintage, wire basket on my wish list. I love how they look stuffed full of goodies.

Gonzaga won tonight...whoo whoo!! Gotta love March Madness.

Stuffs

It's been raining all day. So, to avoid the rain I got a pedicure. My toes are a pretty, sparkly pink!
Here's what I worked on tonight...
Lace, ribbon, buttons & a funky flower, what more could you ask for?

I found this today...the best part? It was already this antique white!

How lucky was I to find two of these?! I found one while thrifting in Mountain Home & a couple weeks later I found another one in Boise. I was so excited because I had been working on it for my mom & now I have another one for someone else.
The inside was this hideous orange, red color with a fork, knife, spoon combo print...iicckk!!!
I think it was a recipe box, now it's just plain pretty! =)
 I love 'em!!

It's been a good day. Thanks for stopping by!
