Turquoise Tuesday

I'm sipping a carmel macchiato at Starbucks as I write this post.
mmm!! :)
What a week it has been!! What a year for that matter.
I *never* would have dreamed it would be so hard to keep my inventory up.
Buuuutttt I. Love. It!!! I can't believe how well I've done thus far && it's all thanks to my *wonderful* customers!!
. . . . . .
About a week and a half ago I ran out of ASCP Provence. Yes! Ran out!! Ahhhhhhhhh!!!
I quickly ordered up some more & luckily it came just in time.
When I first bought my paint in Spokane, the nice lady said, "Remember, when you're almost out add water."
So that's what I did, but I was limited to small projects...ugh!!
Anyway, since I got my order everyday has been *turquoise* day!!!!
I'll start with this Hollywood Regency style mirror I finished this morning.
^ **SOLD** ^
Yesterday was my lucky day! I was on my way to Hobby Lobby when I drove by Petals & Stems with a sign out front that read:
75% OFF ENTIRE STORE.
Sssccccrrreeeccccchh!!
Now please believe me when I say I HATE seeing any small, local store going outta business!
I mean after all that's what I'm aspiring to be.
I learned, however, that after 12 years in business the landlord is not renewing their lease. Boo!!!
So they are looking for another place to open shop, but need to downsize big time.
Yay for me!!! I found all sortsa treasures including the {used to be brown} mirror above.
And this Fleur de Lis paper towel rack.
^ **SOLD** ^
Wouldn't it also be cute as an accessory rack . . . the possibilities for this beauty are endless!!
. . . . . .
Saturday night, Daxton and I went to GEORGE STRAIT!!!
So of course, I did some shopping on Friday.
It was soooo good! But I must confess, I liked Martina McBride a bit better. GASP!
:)
^ **SOLD** ^
^ **SOLD** ^
. . . . . . .
Sunday, we headed to Spring Creek for the Cowboy Poetry Kick-off Branding & Bronc Riding.
The Jim Ranch won the Branding.
. . . . . .
Along with Provence I ordered Emperor's Silk.
I was expecting it to be a hot pink, but it's hot red.
I did this jewelry stand & although I like it I wanted it to be PINK!
This started out navy blue so maybe the base color has something to do with the hue.
I'll have to try another piece.
. . . . . . .
Okay, KW is in town for a class of some sort. I'm meeting him later.
:)
Live Happy!!!
P.S. if you've purchased Stuffs from me, thank you x 12!!!!

Rustic Western Stuffs

I spent last week with Daxton out in King's River.
<3 <3 <3
I was able to get a few projects finished, all of which sold!!!
My customers are theee best!
^ **SOLD** ^
I {love} how this frame turned out.
Annie Sloan Dark Wax is ah-mazing!!! I swear it makes all my project twelve times better!!
^ **SOLD** ^
This keepsake box is one of my favorites. It was originally a jewelry box, but the inside was in pretty bad shape.
I usually only purchase items that are almost *perfect* inside; however, I was able to rip everything outta this one.
Notice the cowboy hat in the reflection? I had a lot of great 'props' to work with :)
Anyway, I wanted to keep the top tier so I salvaged the inserts that held it up & glued 'em back in place.
Isn't it great?!! I thought about keeping it for myself, but I know Kandis will love it!!
. . . . . . .
This *Buckarette <3' jewelry box sold instantly!
So did this team roper one && I am still receiving requests for more.
My mom spotted these out at CVS for an *unbelievable* price, and I only bought two.
I. Am. Kicking. Myself!!!!!
Does ^ this ^ look familiar??
We went back this past weekend, and there was only one left - tucked away in the shoe aisle. UGH!!
. . . . . . .
I traveled back to Boise on Thursday & did some treasure hunting along the way.
^ **SOLD** ^
There happened to be two of these in the same aisle so I scooped 'em up.

See I'm learning . . . slowly :)
. . . . . .
One of my *best* customers suggested selling at Cowboy Christmas during the NFR.
It would be *a lot* of work, but wouldn't it be amazing??!!!
Just something to think about.
. . . . . .

Silhouette CAMEO

In the last post I promised I would *try* to use another color besides turquoise,
&& believe me, I'm trying!!!
:)
Here are my latest projects . . .
^ **SOLD** ^
I found this while treasure hunting in Winnemucca. I've never come across something like this, so I was pretty excited.
This western jewelry box sold instantly!
No joke, about a minute later I needed another one for a birthday gift. :(
While I was shopping this past weekend I saw two of these exact same boxes.
Uuggghhh
I am *kicking* myself for not buying 'em!
Keeping this for myself crossed my mind a time or two. I love it {and} it's perfect for my jewelry.
. . . . . .
Valentine's Day is going to be here soon!!!
I'm not reallllly into creating seasonal Stuffs, but a few pieces wouldn't hurt, right?
^ **SOLD** ^
Quite a few hearts & stars have sold {happy dance}!
. . . . . . .
Have I told y'all I bought a Silhouette CAMEO?!!? {eek!}
It. Is. Amazing!!!
This set of mirrors was my *first* project.
^ **SOLD** ^
I'm still gettin' used to all the wonderful Stuffs I can create with it.
This sassy, pink leopard mirror is what I did today.
Be your own kind of Beautiful
{LOVE}
. . . . . .
Another western magazine rack . . . exactly like the other one!! *Yikes*
I just liked the first so much I had to do it again.
& it sold rather quickly!
Stuffs Lovin' Souls are theeee {absolute} best!!!!
. . . . . .
This zebra tin makes me smile!! I love how it turned out & it's perfect for the gal who bought it!!
. . . . . .
Annnnd finally, turquoise! You couldn't have possibly thought I'd give up turquoise all together, did you??!
^ **SOLD** ^

Annie Sloan Chalk Paint : Provence

I woke up New Year's day to an Etsy transaction . . . whoo whoo!!!
The *perfect* way to start my year.
It is only the sixth day of 2013, but already it's been amazing!!
I have been working on project after project & using my *favorite* color, Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Provence.
Prepare yourself for *a lot* of turquoise in this post.
&& My paint can is almost empty . . . nooooo!!!!
Since I don't think I'll be up in Spokane anytime soon, I'mna have to order online. This time I'm also gettin' ASCP Emperor's Silk.
My mom, Richelle, Resse and I went huntin' for Stuffs in the rough during Ooitzy's wrestling meet && I already have a few pieces that are *gonna* look amazing bright pink
:)
. . . . . . .
I like to post *all* my Stuffs on my Facebook page & all ya Stuffs Lovin' Souls like to scoop 'em up.
Thank you x 89!!!!
Because y'all are so *awesome* I sometimes need more than one of each item.
Thus, it is the {absolute} best when I find duplicates of stuffs
*or* when I just happen to have another something in storage, especially as of late.
I finished this box last week & right away I needed another . . .
which I just happened to have.
I try not to *ever* do any two Stuffs exactly alike as I like every piece to be unique & special.
. . . . . . .
I made/posted this *Buckarette* caddy wondering if it would sell at all. (? ? ?)
& it did, rather quickly.
I had another gal ask me if I could do another & luckily, I had another tool box waitin' for some love.
. . . . . .
I can't remember if I posted the other 'window' box I made awhile back?
If not, here it is . If so, here it is again.
Anyway, I was able to scoop up another one this weekend . . .
*Sassy Zebra Keepsake Box {$49}*
I {love} how both these turned out!!
. . . . . . .
While shoppin' for some new vinyl I came across this bull rider decal.
*Rustic Turquoise Bull Rider Frame {$16}*
**SOLD**
I 've been doing a lot of ^^pieces^^ with broncs & I thought it'd be fun to switch things up a little.
Wellllll, I should've bought more than just *one* decal. I need at least three more.
I have y'all to thank for keeping me running back for more Stuffs!!!
. . . . . . .
Now, this is going to sound super dorky,
buuuutttt I have been wanting to find one of *these* for forever!!!!
&& yesterday, I did!! YAY!!!!!
**SOLD**
Fingers crossed I find another . . . soon!
. . . . . . .
See these frames?
Crystal asked me to *fix* 'em up for her.
&& they are one of the few items I would definitely keep for myself - if I could.
I just love 'em.
. . . . . . .
WOW! That. Is. A lot. Of. Turquoise!!!
Okay, I am off to finish up a few more Stuffs tonight
&& I promise I'll *try* to start mixin' up my color scheme.
:)
Thank you for all your support.

Shopping in Winnemucca, Nevada

So last weekend we were in *Winnemucca, Nevada* for Ooitzy's wrestling meet.
Annnnd, by now you should know I can't go anywhere without doing some treasure hunting
I've been to Winnemucca a *bazillion* times whether it be for basketball, wrestling, rodeos, whatever . . .
but who knew it's home to soo many cute shops?!!
I surely did not!!!
But let me tell you, Friday, I was enlightened.
:)
Our first stop -my mom & I- was *Good Night Irene*. A fun, eclectic gift shoppe full of all sortsa unique goodies.
From there, we ventured out the back door to *Linger Longer Antiques*.
(508 W. Winnemucca Blvd)
&& that's where the spending spree began!!!
I left the store with ^ this ^ beauty.
**Chippy goodness**
I'm thinkin' three hooks across the bottom would make it absolutely perfect!
. . . . . . .
After grabbing some coffee from a super cute espresso next door, we headed for the thrift stores.
And wouldn't ya know, shopping on the day the world was supposed to end had its perks.
Both thrift stores were having "Apocalypse Sales* 50% off everything!!!
Eek!! *Big Smiles*
Treasures galore.
. . . . . . .
We were on our way back to the event center when we came across an interesting little sign.
*Suzi's Country Treasures & Victorian Gifts*
It's an amazing little shoppe tucked inside Artistic Fence Co.
(720 Fairgrounds Rd.)
***If you can only visit one place the next time you're in Winnemucca, let it be here!!!***
You. Will. NOT. Be. Sorry.
Suzi, the obvious owner, is such a great lady.
Walking into her shoppe is *magical*. Everything is decorated up just right.
I couldn't leave without these rustic stars
& a few other goodies.
& my mom scooped up this awesome drink dispenser.
. . . . . .
Ooitzy, unfortunately, was out the first night.
So the next morning, instead of leaving town, I dragged KW & Sky to a few places my mom and I missed the day before.
*The Country Rose Floral & Gift* was our first stop.
(329 S. Bridge St.)
A great place to find the *perfect* gift.
We got momma some pretty pinecones that light up
& I found a western picture frame for Marlyn.
 . . . . . .
Now, KW is a good sport about most everything, but when it comes to treasure hunting I have to bribe him.
So it was back to the espresso shop for another round of coffee.
& that coffee earned me two more stops - in Winnemucca.
:)
Another cute gift shop (I am drawing a blank on the name!) where we found this cute, blue bird for momma,
& *Endless Memories* a scrapbooking store.
(241 S. Bridge St.)
Yeah, you read right!!! A scrapbooking store in Winnemucca, Nevada!
Wowzers! I had no idea. Of course, I found some paper & a few embellishments I couldn't live without.
Finnnnallly, with our treasures in tow we were on our way home.
. . . . . .
Once in Elko, I couldn't resist taking a peek in the thrift stores.
By this time, both KW & Sky had teamed up against me and I had to offer Pizza Hut in order to stop.
Good thing because they found some pretty good stuffs in the rough.
I'll show ya 'em finished in another post.
. . . . . .
This year has been beautiful, amazing, scary, sad, and rewarding.
I can't thank all my customers & supporters enough. *None* of this would be possible without each of you.
Wishing you & yours a wonderful New Year!!!

Day After Christmas

I hope y'all had a wonderful Christmas full of love, peace, and blessings.

My holiday season has been {absolutely} glorious!!
Lotsa time with my family & several orders/sales for Stuffs by Bethany.
Where should I start?
As it has been 23 days since I last posted!!!!
Hmmm...I'mna just start writing & hope it all comes together.
On December 10, the Owyhee High School Art Club held its annual Christmas Bazaar.
What a great time it was! I did an ornament make-&-take, which did surprisingly well.
Over and over, Owyhee continues to support my little business
& it makes my heart swell with joy.
My dad managed to finish another OOAK corner door shelf.
He's the BEST!!
It didn't sell, but the old Indian women sure liked it.
. . . . . . .
My Facebook page also has been a wonderful source of business revenue.
Prior to Christmas, Stuffs was selling like hotcakes!!
:)

Bronc Tin & Rusty Bell **SOLD**
A sweet gal from Elko has been one of my *best customers* this Holiday season.
It's so rewarding to create Stuffs & have someone absolutely love 'em!!
Pendleton Whiskey Cork Magnets **SOLD**
Round Bronc Rider Box **SOLD**
Always Pray Keepsake Box **SOLD**
Sweet, Rustic Keepsake Box w/Heart **SOLD**
Bronc Mirror **SOLD**
. . . . . .
A family friend stopped by to browse for gifts for her office exchange
& I couldn't believe how low my inventory was.
It was eye-opening & rewarding.

If I have learned anything from surviving my first Holiday season in business it is to always be over prepared x 12!!!
I would have *never* guessed I'd be receiving so many requests as I have these last two weeks.
'My cup runneth over.'
Rustic Hearts, Turquoise Frame, Faith, Hope, Love Caddy **SOLD**
I received orders from the O.H.S. Science Club & Shoshone-Paiute Tribes.
Very exciting!!
200 tags for a retirement party.
Annnd, although I keep records of all my sales there wasn't any true pattern of Stuffs people wanted.
Rustic Red Western Shelf **SOLD**
If they saw something they liked, they bought it. Simple as that.
By far, my fastest selling piece was this western magazine rack.
I posted it on Facebook & no joke, it was gone within two seconds!!
**SOLD**
I was coming thru Elko last weekend & I scooped up another one at the FISH Thrift Store!!!
*ahhhh!!!!*
. . . . . . .
Just for some ideas I created  **The {best} Last Minute Gifts** album on Facebook.
All the following items are still up for grabs.
^ Live . Laugh . Love . Desktop Decor **SOLD** ^
To showcase all these items my mom & I decorated up the living room hutch.
I *desperately* need my own shop!!!
. . . . . .
I'm not too sure when my next show will be, but in the mean time I'mna keep creating Stuffs!!
Valentine's Day will be here before we know it
& I'm planning to have several *rustic, barbed wire hearts* ready to sell.
Again, I can't thank *all* the Stuffs Lovin' SouLS out there enough!!
. . . . . .
Merry {one day after} Christmas.
Live Happy!!!
